About Claire Ashley Beauty
I’m Claire Ashley, and I started Claire Ashley Beauty after my own breast augmentation.
I thought about it for years before I went ahead, going back and forth over whether it was right for me, how I would choose a size, and what recovery would really be like. When I finally decided, I had my surgery abroad, in Thailand, which raised even more questions I struggled to find honest answers to.
What I couldn’t find was a resource that treated me like a real person: clear about the choices, honest about the risks instead of glossing over them, and realistic about the days and weeks afterwards. So I built the resource I wish I’d had.
What this site covers
I write about the whole journey, in plain language and from real experience:
- Breast augmentation, the procedure, implants, and risks
- Am I a candidate?, and choosing wisely
- What it costs and having it abroad
- Recovery, what the weeks afterwards are really like
I don’t recommend specific clinics or surgeons, and nothing here replaces a consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon.
How we keep it accurate
I’m a patient, not a doctor, so every article is medically reviewed by a consultant plastic surgeon, Miss Charlotte Vane, before it’s published. The lived experience is mine; the clinical facts, including the risks, are checked by someone qualified to check them. We cite authoritative sources such as the ASPS, BAAPS, the FDA, and the NHS, and show the publication, last-updated, and review dates on every article. See our Editorial Policy.
